Pull hood release lever in cabin, hood does not "pop". Took off that handle and tugged on cable, no "pop". Took off grill emblem to try to see latch better, no luck.
Does anyone have experience with this and success in getting hood open? I am trying to avoid busting out grill if possible. Thank you in advance. |

The cable is accessible (barely) by removing the front half of the driver side inner fender liner.
Once that is out of the way you can reach up & feel for the “connector box” that is attached to the far side of the radiator core support. (Roughly the 11 o’clock position of the fender arch.)
This box is where the cable from the cabin is connected to the cable to the hood release, open the cover & the two cables can be removed & you can pull on the cable to the release.
This will be the cable that you will be groping around for…
