My pinion bearing does not have any notches in it to stake the pinion nut. Should I grind notches and dress the threads with a thread file so I can stake the nut or just use loctite knowing that I will have to cut the nut off next time (if there is a next time)?

Blue Loctite is what I use there, don't go all the way around just a small area and then put it on.

I use 271(red) and torque to 160, never had a problem removing them afterwards
