Any chance someone is headed to LA from Reno

Got a really fun issue to deal with... my syncro trans needs to be serviced yet again. I put only about 4000 miles on it since I paid out all my savings ($2500!) for a rebuild and upgrade but now it's howling under load so I got back under there in 90 degree temps and removed it. Pissed beyond words.

The shop that did it agreed to fix it but I have no way to get it back down there. I'm near Carson City/Reno and wondered if anyone happens to be going to the LA area anytime soon that could carry it along? I can pay for help but the rates the regular shippers want is way out of my budget.
