|
|
Quick question. Looking to buy a hardtop for my newly acquired Thing. Found a top from a 1974. Is a 1974 hardtop exactly the same as a 1973 hardtop. Direct replacement, bolts, supports etc?
Sorry if this has been answered. Did a search and couldn't find a definitive
answer.
Thanks,
Mike |

I know you can't always trust everything you read on the internet, but did you google it?

Overheard on 27 June 07, one lady to another when they saw my Harli in a parking lot at West Point, "maybe he found it on the clearance aisle at the Volkswagen dealer" |

Yes it should fit all years.
If you have a roll bar that is not one of the VWoA two versions it may or may not fit over your roll bar. _________________ '74 Thing

Yes, definitely, a '73 hardtop and a '74 hardtop are interchangeable.
Make sure you get the vertical metal bars that go between the doors on each side. |
