|

Guys, I want to use shorter shocks because the car is slightly lowered. So... What about running rear koni Red's up front? 411mm vs 387mm? If I run them softest front and them adjust them firmer rear, it should work out, right? And, bonus, rears are cheaper than fronts!
EDIT
So, after checking this again I see that I got my numbers wrong. The rear shocks and the front shocks are virtually the same length on a link pin car.

I've heard it works, but never tried it myself. _________________ modok wrote:

I would read Erik’s post on his suspension setup.

If I remember correctly he used Koni red shocks for Porsche given his car was slightly lowered.
I personally run the standard Koni reds on my own slightly lowered beetle and haven’t noticed any ride issues. _________________ 59 Beetle - Diamond Grey

OK! So I updated the first posting since I realized I had gotten my lengths wrong.
Have read Eric's thread about the outlaw. 356 shocks seem good in length - but what about valving? They seem to be 200 in compression vs beetöe 450? Rebound is higher at 1350 vs Beetle 900. |
