Can you identify this ignition barrel?

These were in an extra parts bin from the PO and after pulling my ignition apart to try and put it in, it is too short. I thought it was intended for my 1964 bug, anyone have a clue?

I believe that is the cylinder for the engine lock.

Interesting, I can't believe there is no numbers to actually identify it. What a waste of a nice set.

Yes, The offset pin on the end says to me door handle or decklid latch.

The key code numbers are on the handle itself, not the cylinder.

Gotcha! Yeah it came with no handles or anything, just what's pictured. I guess I will need to take apart a handle or 2 on my bug and have a look.

I bought a NOS set of keys and cylinder at a swap meet and a deckled(push button style)in the classifieds for my 66

. This is the cylinder that I saved from deckled lock. Looks same as yours
