unknown fender stone guards

found these in wrapped in 1970's wonder bread bags
they secure with some stainless carriage bolts, so I'm not crazy to use them on my nice cars
They seem familiar to me, but a quick search through 8 pages of "fender guards" here had no matches, does anyone recognize them? They're heavy stainless, like maybe 18g

if they're thin alu or stainless then they are like the current EMPI ones. there's a pair of original beefy chromed ones in this classified ad, seller says they're GHE
