Time to get our "56 back on the road. This was a full rebuild in 1990 on a "67 pan. It was daily driven 10 years, then sat for 25+. The motor is seized because water got into the top end through the carbs - shortly after I overhauled it. I'll pull it out, tear it down and see what's needed. I'm also going to tackle my first interior job with seat kits. Here we go.

It has type 3 dual carbs. The problem is that water runs off the roof line and drips directly on top of the air cleaners and through their center bolts and eventually into and through the carbs and down the intake manifolds into the cylinders. This usually isn't an issue because I have some coffee can covers that fit over the air cleaners, but I forgot to put them on and then the car sat for many months. The engine turns very hard by hand. I expect to find rusty rings and barrels. Best case, I rebuild the top end and get 'er running again in a week or two. _________________ ***
