Porsche 912 fuel pump top question

Hi all-

I ran across a 912 fuel pump with a top that has the lower tube pointing the wrong direction vs. the others.

Anyone know why this particular top has the inlet/outlet tubes orientated this way? It's the top on the right that the lower tube is angled differently.
