Greetings from South Texas. I've noticed a slight increase in engine oil level. My 67' 1300 runs prefect. However, an increase in oil level is a warning sign. I'm looking for the highest quality replacement stock fuel stock fuel pump for my 67' 1300? Your suggestions are welcome. I tried a rebuild kit from WW without success.
Thank you!

If the fuel pump diaphragm is leaking into the case there should be some evidence of this if you remove the pump and inspect its base and spacer. Fuel leakage would be indicated by the grease washing out, or by fuel staining from the pump body weep/vent hole.

Another common and overlooked source of fuel getting into the oil is a carburetor leaking down the throat after shut down, a sticking choke, or an overly rich setup/adjustment.

The WW kits are some of the best. If you rebuilt it correctly you may have needed to prime the pump. I put a NOS pump on one of my vehicles and it took a while to get it to work.

You can also try this guy. He centered his business around 67 Beetles.

There are more possible reasons for that issue.

Original fuel pumps have a small hole on bottom. If the membrane is leaking, fuel comes out of that hole. Fuel washes the engine case there.

How about fuel consumption, still normal? If not, since when?
Is the carb and the jets original, needle valve, start automatic OK?
Gets the engine warm?
How long are your trips?
