Enjoy your VW Dasher wagon. For its time, it was a major departure for Volkswagen, and also sent a real wake-up call to many competitors. The 1974-1981 VW Dasher (chassis is listed a a "B1") was largely a clone of the Audi 80, and was sold in most of the world as the first generation VW Passat.
A reliable source of Dasher information could be the members of the Facebook group, "Burn all Dashers". It's a good multinational assortment of Dasher/Passat 1 owners, drivers & fans. Have fun.

I have had a Dasher and multiple Rabbits, although my Dasher was a 1980 diesel model. Some of the mechanical stuff will be pretty easy to find as it is the same as the much-more-common Rabbits and Jettas. Other stuff is just about impossible to find new parts for. And other things if you google around you can find ways to adapt MK2 stuff for, like some of the weird brake stuff.
Overall it's nice to have that extra space and you can find parts you just have to look around. VW Vortex has a Dasher forum, and there used to be a Dasher/Quantum BBS although I haven't checked in years since I sold my Dasher.
Good Luck! _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!
