Ghia Low light window scrapers

I need help and expertise. I thought I would replace my window scrapers on my 57 Ghia. On older Ghias you first remove the chrome strip on the top of the door. This is done by sliding the molding back approx. 1" and then lifting the molding up and off the rubber scraper. This reveals the rubber underneath the chrome molding. My rubber scraper was really bad and came out in pieces but I have the new scrapers ready to install. This is where my problems begin. I have know real idea how to proceed with the replacement. I've watched several videos but they are not for early Ghias. On my 57 there are 5 small screws that hold the molding in place to the top of the door. The screws pass through the rubber scraper and attach to holes in the door. I have no idea where to go from there. I know the rubber attaches to the door then the screws are attached and then the chrome molding slides over the screw heads until it is properly positioned. I've read the Samba threads and watched the video from California Classics with Pete. Anyway if any one can point me in the right direction I'd very happy and stoked. Thanks, Bill

There is an inside scraper (51), an outside scraper (50), a metal retaining strip (59) then the outside seal (49) that is under the chrome trim.

I had all the parts at home ready for installation so I lined them up for a picture... The clips in the top of the picture are difficult to find sometimes so be careful with them!

Nize, what a great photo! I am going through a bit of research on this, trying to find all the parts before I need them. Thanks for posting. The outer clips seem to be very difficult to find, especially for a reasonable price! Has anyone found a good substitute for them?

Thanks for the replies. One problem I ran into is there are 2 window felts for each side. The felt that fits the interior side is attached with the small clips that are crimped on and then snap into the interior side of the door. The felt that attaches to the exterior side attach to the metal retaining strip. The felt

attachment tabs on the metal strip do NOT accept the felt unless you have the narrower type of felt. They do not use the individual clips that crimp on like the interior side. Apparently there are two versions of the felt, one is wider and the other is narrower. I did not know this and had to use my original narrow felt on the exterior side that attaches to the metal mounting strip. Once its mounted it does not show and works fine.
