The passenger side vent wing has never closed properly since I restored my car 20 years ago. The vent wing operates and opens and closes properly.
However, as opposed to the driver's side which closes completely and is all sealed up, the passenger side has a small gap, you can see in the picture.

What's the best fix for this problem? Would like to see suggestions and recommendations before I bend/pry or otherwise try to adjust this window.
Thank you.

I have no help to offer; idle curiosity makes me wonder why, after 20 years, are you looking for a way to remedy the issue?

Looks like the latch plate needs to be bent inward some. Might try adding in a folded section of a paper match book cover and see if it pulls in the wing window enough that will give you an idea how much to bend and if it is closing evenly. In other words kind of scout out what needs to be done.

Your first image seems like the glass is not parallel to the divider. Two thoughts along the lines of alignment that @Eric&Barb said.

Do you have both screws installed on the upper wing window mount? I know one of mine was broke when i rebuilt my bug leading to a similar situation. The bracket would twist as the rubber loaded the window.

Same for the upper divider mount.

You may also want to put some talcum powder (SP?) on your seal to help the window close all the way.
