Found out that' putting in tight new channel felts would help pull the glass loose from the lower bar. UGH.Took out regulator (will replace w/ new) , cleaned glass and track. Able to resurrect the seal and will goose it all up with black adhesive rtv to reinstall, BUT---

At what exact position is the rail attached to bottom of glass? I cleaned it well and can see no signs of attaching, Somebody could please take a look? I don't want to dismantle the passenger door (remove cranks, escutcheons and door card) in order to " mirror image" from that opposite glass attachment. Not sure if it's centered or what, but only want to glue it on once!

Put the glass in the track and keep it closed. Put the regulator down to where you have access to the area and glue the inside of the felt and then lower rhe window down and set it in.

I had This same issue
If you don’t get the armature in right it will pull out when all the way down
So I rolled the window crank all the way down
Then I slid the lower track onto the wheel
Then glued the channel onto the glass
I hope That makes sense

Sure that makes good sense My concern is exactly where to glue the rail back onto glass, --- is it centered or what ?

Pretty sure my query was misunderstood. Was not about the channel felts. Lo and behold i found a pic in the gallery which shows the 80mm setback from back edge of window for attaching to the bottom support rail. So im going to rely on the fitment shown as 3.15 inch or 80mm.
Nevertheless it's apparent that after 60 years the glass was ready to separate and the instalation of the new felt guides provided enough resistance to cause it.
