Is it best to put the plastic inserts in the vehicle body panel then push the emblem on? Or put the plastic inserts on the emblem then push onto the body panel? I’m worried about bending the emblem. It’s a tight fit.

Plugs fully into the holes, then push the emblem into the plugs.
