Rear hatch lock actuator problem 2002 MV Camper

I could hear the rear hatch lock actuator moving when using the remote to lock or unlock all doors, but had to lock or unlock the door with my key. Partially removed the interior panel and saw this:

So I inserted the metal arm into the most logical ( but cracked) plastic fitting, and the actuator will function properly:

Is this the correct plastic fitting? If so, where do I buy one of these? Or am I missing parts?

This is my temporary fix:

EuroTec, thanks to you again for helping me! I was not sure I had the right position for that rod, and did not know what the correct name of the clip is! I am used to working on Bay Window busses, so this “modern” stuff is new to me! Bob
