Nope- LHD. Lots of Swedish market Buses were left hand drive with left side cargo doors. I suspect that there is tons more rot than what you can plainly see on it. Look at the tips of the decklid down at the lower corners! I bet if you lift up the cargo mat and hit the floor with a hammer you would punch through it like cardboard. Same goes for the rockers, lower nose, and front floor, usually are very crusty from snowy Sweden. Not to mention that the taillights appear to be newer and 1951 lights would cost you $$$$ IF and when you find them. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

don't you love it when they tie the bus with the front bumper?
I see a piano hinge vent wing... more info would be nice, but I'm not in the market for a rusty Swedish BD anyway |

Isn't the gas tank supposed to be on that shelf over the engine, or is that the spare tire shelf?
$6k is pretty high to start with, not to mention if you're not in Sweden, it's going to cost another grand or two to get it over here. That's some expensive rust.
Then again, I don't think there are any old busses in NC waiting to be discovered. Tons of beetles, but not even early ones...I keep looking, though... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!

That rear bumper would have been an option on a 1951. I don't think that they were standard equipment till mid-late 1953. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I haven't heard of any hidden splits yet to be found east of Raleigh. There was a real nice BD find in Charlotte not too long ago though. She's a beauty. _________________ "Gotta love the drops!"

really? ok so it's a 51 but it's a bit too rusty for me. Although seeing some of the early sambas recently brought here from sweden it's virtually NOS compared to them. If it had OG paint then i'd agree it's way cool. Personally i'd much rather have that Portugese 54 with the opening rear window Graham Clarke had for sale recently. Now that van IS way cool. _________________ The new http://so23westfalia.com now online!
