I AM TRYING TO RE-ASSEMBLE A 56 CONVERTIBLE MIRROR.
DOES ANYBODY HAVE A DRAWING OR SPECS ON ONE?
THE VISOR SHIFTS WERE CUT. THERE IS SMALL PART UNDER
A SPRING COVER ON THE BACK.

See if these help. I can take more if you need them. If anyone has it, I need another "barrel" that attaches the verticle mirror to the horizontal visor for my second mirror.

Thanks for these pics.
Still struggle to understand how to re-assemble, and what the correct working condition of a vert mirror is...which parts swivel and turn, and which needs to be locked tight?
Is there an official description or repair manual around for vert mirrors?

I can't help but suggest the best answer would be for somebody to video a mirror being manipulated/demonstrated.

The mirror swivels at the back of course to fine adjust but also at theses places

I need the correct year mirror assembly, visor arms and visors but im not ready to lay out all that $$ just yet on my 56 convertible

Not sure what you refer to: where is a swivel function at the back??

This little pin with the spring plate cover is what intrigues me most. I'd really like to understand how this was designed to work, and what it does. It can only allow for a very small movement, but I suspect it is there to decrease a rattle of the mirror during driving?
