Hi Everyone,
I'm a software dev who currently owns 2 VWs (a 1960 Single Cab, and a 1978 Super Beetle Convertible that my kid thinks is his) - and have owned another beetle before.
Anyway, over the past month or so I've been working on a site called 'Keep It Slow', a sort of site for VW Users to connect build pages for their cars, and to get custom stickers for their cars.
The idea is that when you build out your car's page you can get a sticker with a QR Code that will take whoever scans it directly to your car, and let them see all the work you've done, etc.
I'd love some feedback - just what people think and all that - what I could add, what people would like to see, those sorts of things.
The site is at https://keepitslow.com and from there you can see the couple of people who have signed up.
You can also visit a car page directly at https://keepitslow.com/c/bP5fu94g/ (that's my Single Cab).
Thanks a million! |

Interesting idea!
However with the paranoia surrounding just the simple exposure of a license plate posted on line I can only imagine the spasms of terror this idea would induce in minds of a good number of people!
I can see it being so much more convenient at a show and shine than making up a billboard with all the specifications on it. _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |

Thanks!
My thinking is the car shows and parking lots, but I can see the fear around some information - which is why anything indenitable is optional (I don't want it, etc).
I was also hoping for a little bit of people handing out stickers, etc the way other communities pass out things like rubber ducks. |

My personal opinion is too much white space on the page. The best billboards at car shows are full color and no dead space. Other than that interesting concept. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

Certainly something I'll take into account! I'm trying to make sure it looks good on my phone and my giant monitor, so it's definitely a balancing act! |
