I have a 63 synchro transmission that I'm getting ready to install in my 57 oval.
The nose cone and hockey stick have been changed out with the correct bus parts. What transmission to chassis seal works best? I've done a number of searches and only came up with one reference that said the newer bug seal didn't fit quite right. Solutions?
TIA

I have used the early seal, the issue is the new nosecone won't have the flange to push it tight to the chassis. I had to trim the ID of the seal a bit and glued it to the pan. I had this seal so I made it work, though I wonder why the later seal wouldn't work?

Thats exactly what I thought about as well. Open the ID to slide over the larger diameter and use barge cement against the chassis. Thats probably what I will do if no one else chimes in. I've got a week to decide.
Thanks!!
