|
|
As the title say's can anyone help with which sparkplugs I need, usual W8DRC or BP5ES-A, but with the Meagspark need a resistor and precious metal plug due to wasted spark.
Evey Website I visit just wants me to enter my reg number and they will advise on the correct plug, obviously not going to work well with a 52 year old car.
Cheers

The ACD should have 3/4" reach plugs in 043 heads .
I'm using Bosch FR7DTC , just a resistor copper tri electrode plug . Speeduino sequential with chev LS1 coils .
They have a 5/8's hex with will make it easier to remove and replace . |

As Wreck wrote Sparkplugs with 5/8" (16mm) hex are much easier to handle.
NGK BCPR5EIX or BCPR5EIX-11 (same with 1.1mm gap) is the 16-hex Iridium Resistor Plug for your BP5ES-A or BPR5EIX if you want to stay with the bigger 21mm hex. |

Thanks guys, I thought that would be easily sorted.
1.1mm is a big gap for a VW? _________________ Stock 1973 GT Beetle in Apple Green |

I run exactly the same stock Bosch plugs in my bus with EDIS wasted spark ignition as for a stock ignitiion. Stock gap.. I just left them in there when I switched over. A check after about 12000 miles shows them still OK . Havent changed plugs for a few years.
Leads are Taylor Spiro Pro equivalent. Again the same as I was running on the stock ignition. _________________ Ancient vehicles and vessels
