I am finally getting some last items down to my standard 70 that I have been rebuilding. I never took pictures of the air box assembly when I disassembled the body for work. I have the air mixer assembly and the box , plus some brackets. If I had some pictures of these in place then it would make this puzzle a bit easier to deal with. And pictures would be appreciated!

Hi, I just did this today on my 72!
The bracket mounts in the center above the ashtray and below the radio hole to little wings with the control knob posts through the holes into the car. One of those wings I can see right next to your glovebox.
On mine the cables cross each other and go through a center plastic holder thing to the opposite flap. If you're aren't attached you'll need to attach the cables.
Then it looks like yours is similar to mine. Get the box close to the drain hole and hook up your wiring. The box's drain stub at the center back goes into the pipe for it. The box should be able to squish down enough to get underneath the edge of the trunk and it has 3 screws or something that attach it there.

I hope that helps!

Thanks! Even without pictures that still is helpful. Also kinda funny your 72 super and my 70 standard are both auto sticks.

If you'd like to click the Facebook button, that will take you to my page there. I've figured out how to make photo albums now with the most recent activities starting this year and that will have pictures of the fresh air box. You can also just search "Marmalade" and see our whole history since 2019. A lot of sitting, but not anymore! It's almost ready to get out on the road driving.
