|
|
We are working on a 79 super beetle vert with fuel injection and a few of the curved molded hoses are cracked and need replaced. Are they being reproduced and is there good sources for these hoses? I found one of two on few sites but not many.
Thanks |

Don't use heater hoses for fuel. It's a totally different kind of rubber and will not hold up. You can buy modern bulk 'straight' hose for use with fuel injection (look for 30R9 or 30R14 and "fuel injection" printed on the hose), and if you are looking at making some curves, look for the metal shaping coils if you can't find curved FUEL hose that is correct for your vehicle. _________________ 1972 Standard Beetle

All the fuel hoses are straight 7.5mm on the beetle, it's the larger breather and auxiliary air hoses that require a molded curve.
But yes, J30R9 or better for anything carrying fuel. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
