Would like to know the approximate years they were in use, and which type(s) VW they would have come from. Thanks.
Wood shifter knob, hood emblem, gas cap?, horn button?

The wolfburg crest would be 62 bug and earlier, the large horn button split bus deluxe up to 67, the small black horn button would be around 66 to 71 bug, and the radio face plate would be 58 to 67 bug. Let's see if the other members correct my memory! |

And the shifter knob without knowing the thread size could be for bug or bus early or late, or type 3. |

Horn button was also used on oval Window Beetle. _________________ Roads Scholar

The five colour hood crest with blue background is 1951-1959. On 1960 through early 1963 models it was three colours with a black background.
The accessory gearshift knob was available with different threaded inserts to fit any year or type of aircooled VW with manual transmission.
If I recall correctly, the plain black horn button with dull silver crest is 1968 through 1971 (also used on some later non-deluxe models). The crest of the deluxe model button years 1960-1967 was chrome/shiny. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

That horn button was also found on earlier cars...maybe from around 1960. My '63 still has it's original one.

Probably an aftermarket accessory...they could sometimes be found at VW dealers, along with logo mudflaps and stuff like that. _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

Sure enough, mine's the number 12 with the alternate choice of the crest insert.
I finally found my Hurst shifter, and bummer, the knob is the wrong thread size.
Oh well, I only spent five bucks for the whole lot of these small parts. _________________ Lookin' for a wheel stamped 5/66 |
