When I was 16/17 I had what I thought was a 57 Beetle with semaphore turn signals, they popped out from the door post. But reading a bit it says that they were discontinued in 1955. Was it possible to have a 57 Oval rear window Beetle with semaphore turn signals? |

57 Would still have had semaphores unless it was a US spec car with bullet turn signals. |

Oh heck, that was at least 50 years ago. I do not remember if it had bullet turn signals. Bought the car for $50, drove it through a Michigan winter and then sold it for someones dune buggy project. Sometimes I wished i had kept it. |

if it had semaphores it wouldn't have had bullets (from the factory). semaphores stopped in 55 for USA/canada market cars which went over to bullet front indicators and indicator function in rear lights. europe had semaphores up to august 1960 then had the indicators on top of the front fenders.
shame you haven't a photo of your bargain banger oval. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut
