Looking for a source for some rocker switches. I need specific ones with green lumination. I tried Amazon but cannot find one brand for the five that I need so they match. Any ideas? |

Try Ebay. I've had pretty good luck with switches there but pay attention to what it is you're buying. There's a lot of crap there too. |

I have bought a lot of switches from this place, and they will do custom stuff also. They also carry wire blocks and terminals for the switches. |

Anyone tried aviation scrap yards. _________________ Key is to have downward travel Preload keep both wheels on the ground at all times once you lift a tire your DONE. Guys worry about clearance instead think of the opposite you want the suspension to drop that tire in the hole and keep you going. A spider for example they keep their body low but their legs can reach pretty far so they don't (bottom out) |

One of my specialties is vintage electronics salvage. If you need indicator lights for your B17 bomber I either have them or I can get them. But...
Automotive rocker switches are endless. There are so many variations that have come and gone. If it's not OEM it's generally a challenge to match. If you need a specific switch for a car, a semi truck or a boat especially to match something you have...
Good luck.
Radio Shack is all gone,
Try your local truck stop. A shop that has mud flap girls generally has an assortment of rocker switches.
Check your local marina. If you're lucky they have a boat in the weeds that has your switches.
Alternatively,
If you can't find switches that match what you have replace all of 'em.

My wife’s granddad gave me a couple switch / gauge panels supposedly out of an old military helicopter _________________ "how am i supposed to torque the rear wheel nut to 250 ft lbs??? " - clonebug

As an industrial electrician I love installing me some gadgets. But honestly, I've never found a consistent source for switches and such. But then again, if you're anything like me, nothing stays the same for very long so I'm not going to buy a $130 switch setup no matter how sexy it is. Unfortunately, most of the time my designs have to change in order to make whatever I can find for a switch fit. It gets even trickier when you need a switch to do a specific function like momentary or on*off*on, dtsp, ect. And most of what I buy ends up being trash off amazon because I'm addicted to that crap. I've gotten some outstanding deals and cool gadgets like the rock light kit I bought for about $15 that's on my woodsbuggy. It's really well built and definitely worth more than $15. Then just last week I bought one for the wife's new pickup and I had to spend $30 and the wiring didn't even reach the rear wheels. Still cheap, just not as useful. I'd say as far as switches the only constant for the past few years are the switches that got popular when jeeps started becoming a thing everybody had to have. I think they were made for Jeeps actually. I just bought my first one for the wife's truck. I was suprised it actually felt pretty nice and stout. These are just too big of a switch for my buggies dashes.

I used rocker switch pros, they will make anything you want for a rocker cover, then order the switch separately. |

I just threw together this time delay switch box for the interior light in my wife's truck topper. Switches like this are pretty much the standard for rocker switched these days. You can get them in any color with just about anything written on them you just have to look around. I you want smaller just buy some regular water resistant toggles with the metal toggle and then buy some matching dustboots to screw over the top. Pair that up with an inset led above the switch and you got something. _________________ Brian H.
