Working on my 69 bug and wondering what color sun visors came with the car. I found some black ones in a parts box, but mostly see white ones in cars and for sale. Was the sun visors color based on interior color ordered?
Thanks |

In the ribbon above, to the right, there are owner's manuals in the "Technical" tab. This one is from a '69-
25 years ago I had a '69 Beetle "parts car" which was solid enough that I refurbed it mechanically and was able to register it. I used many parts on it which I already had, such as a pair of black vinyl door panels. I wanted to keep the interior a lighter color, so I painted them using SEM vinyl spray paint. After cleaning the panels and letting them dry thoroughly, I set them in the summer sun for a few hours to warm up. Applied 2 or 3 light coats of an "ivory" color, and they stood up well until I sold the car a year or two later. You could try such paint (bright white) and technique on your black visors. |

Thanks Rome,
I guess they all came white. I'll just replace them at some point with white ones. |
