Hi guys, I have a very rare problem with my main cylinder.

Brake master cylinder. My cylinder has died, and I can't find one that fits, as it has adapters (or other thing), and without them, the pump loses pressure. ( My mechanic is completly sure of that). My VW is a 1302, and I don't know if this problem is very rare because I can't find another cylinder that fits properly.

Can someone help me?

Those brake line adapters on the old master cylinder (MC) were intended to adapt the VW brake lines to the larger diameter MC threads.

Your replacement MC has the standard thread diameter for the brake lines in your car.

I suggest, trying threading a brake line into the new MC while it's loose and can be aligned easier. Just as a test fit of the threaded nipples.

I hope this make sense.

Do you think those adapters are actually pressure residual valves, or is it an adapter? Perhaps it's a good idea to replace the rigid tubes that fit into the MC? Do you know the references for those rigid tubes in that case?
