Hello all,
Might be a stupid question, but here goes.
Just got the buggy running after a long restoration, using static timing. I want to go the timing gun route, but with the addition of Tri Mil Exhaust, Bobtail, 1-1/2 Standard Header with Quiet-Pac, I cannot see the degree marks on the pulley due to the muffler blocking my view. How is this done when a person has this setup?
TIA and God bless. |

I have tri-mil bobcat with quiet pack and don't seem to have that problem... _________________ “Fear The Government That Wants To Take Your Guns"

Paint or mark the outside edge of the pulley at the top and the bottom, then use the light looking down or up from the bottom. |

Hi Halfass,
Yeah, I was hoping to not have to do it that way, but I don’t think there is another choice.
One reason I got the degree marked polished pulley was the was it looked and the fact it was marked in a 360* fashion. I bought it while I had a pair of crappy looking bazooka exhaust on it.
I guess I’ll stop whining and do as you suggested. Thanks for your reply. Take care and may God bless. Maybe we’ll run into each other (figuratively) at one of the events around. |
