So I bought a bus, see above. Motor moves like a qtr of the way by hand, I cant get it to move more and im scared to put a battery and key to it, really nothing to grab onto to move it. I tried tightening the middle bolt and only tightened the bolt. I took spark plugs out and put marvels mystery oil in cylinders. Any help would be appreciated.

Harbor china freight has economy minded boroscopes to peek inside spark plug holes. There in may clues be viewed. Take time to drain oil and search for evidance of thing gone askew. Some time looking over your valve train may shed light on the resistance you are encountering. Least on the top end. Certainly those in the know here on the forums, Will be of greater help than me. Good luck and fair roads to you.

amazon has depstech cameras at pretty good prices. ($54). Has a main lens and one on the side. That is probably the least costly way to find what is stopping the piston from moving without taking the engine apart. They also have articulating lens cameras for a little more but the $54 is probably adequate.

If you want the quick answer just select second gear & shove it several feet .
Then recheck the crankshaft, turning it via the alternator nut . The little 13mm bolt at the center is just to jam the three bolt flange down on the crank snout.
Not breaking rings loose. Don't use it for that.
