Hey all. I have a 66 convertible ghia. Body is in rough shape. I also need a transmission. I am going to stick with the swing axle, but am curious how to get a few more inches of ground clearance. Ideally I’d like to drive on forest service roads. Nothing too hard core. I don’t have an unlimited budget, just want to drive some dirt roads.
I live in north AZ and have lots of dirt roads at my fingertips. I do most of my exploring in my Syncro Vanagon. Any advice, pics or resources. Lots of info on bugs/ nettles, not too much on Ghias. Thanks _________________ 86 bostig syncro tin top

RGB in a Ghia would be cool _________________ "how am i supposed to torque the rear wheel nut to 250 ft lbs??? " - clonebug
An interesting thing happens in forums where everyone starts parroting the same thing and "common knowledge" takes over.
Most experts aren't. |

RGB - reduction gear boxes ?
From a bus, I’ll have to look into the fit. Would it take some custom fabrication? _________________ 86 bostig syncro tin top
