I installed an EMPI trigger shifter in a customers Brazilian 1984 bus and it would shift into reverse without using the lock out trigger. I tried re-adjusting several times, and decided to see what the shifter bushing looked like. It seems the part I need was replaced with a bolt causing slop in the shift arm. What do I need (part name) to replace the bolt as shown in the picture. |

you'll probably need to manufacture it. They are welded on prior bays. _________________

i like the bolt.
3rd world engineering right there
these brazilian and mexican busses hide many such surprises.
for real though, get another bigger bolt and turn it down to the right size for the bushing. _________________ 88 Van WBX, A/T - 93 Multivan 5cyl 5M/T - 13 JSW TDI 6M/T - 2012 Touareg TDI Sport |

That’s exactly what I’m going to do. |

Let us know what size bolt you go with. I'm curious but I think this can also help for folks that have that part overly rusted/burred/broken. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

too bad that is not a standard part. This issue comes up often enough someone could make 25 of those and sell them for $60 each shipped, = $1250 net which would cover setting up a system that automates parts like that. _________________

Buy a bolt from Belmetrics with the right OD and one third unthreaded, and double nut the side thst bolts up , lop the head of the bolt off. Done. _________________ 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🍊 🍊 🍊 |

It'll take a mighty thin nut if you intend to use reverse, second and fourth. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
