Just bought it today at the dealer auction, came out of Omaha Nebraska, 1835cc, chopped top, wide body fenders, aux heater in trunk, looking for history

Nothing here on the history but please edit your title so that it’s not all caps, it’s distracting looks like an emergency.

The car isn’t familiar to me, but if it came from Omaha, there is a VW shop called Air Cooled Express in Bennington (suburb of Omaha) that may have worked on the car. Google their website and give them a call. They’re on the opposite end of the state from me, but I used them for a transmission repair based on a friend’s recommendation, and they seemed like great people. They might know some history of the car.

Edited to add: there’s also a vintage VW club in Omaha. I don’t know anything about them, but I googled Omaha VW club and the site seems to be active. That might be a better place to start than Air Cooled Express.

I hope this helps!

Yep that's it only difference I can see is it's not satin finish and the pinstriping is gone which quite honestly looks better now I think
