I’m building another drag motor. My first was 2276 at 161 whp. My second is 181 whp. My current hopeful build is as follows:94x84 2332. As21 case, cb wedge mated 84 with 11 lb flywheel , comp eliminators 48x38 racemaster springs ported by Cub from CB, 34 cc chambers 5 cc valve pockets in wiseco pistons, rev tec medium cylinders, 5.6 cb chev rods. Pauter 1:4 or 1:3 rockers. Thick-wall chromolly pushrods, cb big mouth tubes. Cb filter pump, bug pack strait cut timing gears. Hopefully 13.5 compression. 4 qt berg oil sump, msd eltronics, 48 IDA race prep with Jacee 44 vents. 1 7/8 exhaust. 4:11 Close ratios drag box with pro-rings!

So i am considering an scat c-75 cam with 1:3 rockers!
.425 x 1:3 552 lift.
SCAT C75 Type 1 Camshaft, CLEARANCED, 1.4 and 1.5 Rockers, 20009C is designed for 1.4-1.5 rockers, and it's specs are .425" Cam Lift, .595" Valve Lift (1.4 Rockers) 322 degrees of advertised duration, and 294 degrees of duration at .050", on a 108 LC.

C75 .425" 322 293 39 BT 7 4 AB 74 BB 39 AT 108

I am hoping to make power through 8000 rpm. Question is what is your experience with this cam. I’ve searched but found very little. I have an Fk89 but thinking more duration for a heavy car.
Let the coversation begin. If you search my name you will find im still learning but i am going in a great direction. Why buy what you can build and i do my own work. Ohio Tom was so kind to build my Transmission.

Ps I’m looking for one 1:3 pauter rocker gold color preferably.

Just curious, why 1:3 rockers instead of the 1:4 or 1:5?

I’m still not sure about valve clearance and i want more compression versus lift. I have about.120 valve pockets and I’ll shoot for approximately.040 deck. So if my lift is .552 lift it is only a little less than a fk-89 @ .582 which is less than 1:4 rockers would be .595 almost 600 which is alot. Thinking it would be be a little softer on my valve train. My springs are very similar to k800’s about 360 lbs. Its all about the combination so im trying to get good results.
