firstly it's a type 82 Kübelwagen (spelling)
secondly, I'm not going to waste 40 minutes of my life on that video especially as it states quite clearly - Disclaimer: This video is a dramatized retelling of World War II stories, created for educational reflection and entertainment purposes. Elements of the narrative have been artistically interpreted, and creative tools, including AI, were used to enhance the storytelling experience.
they were two different approaches to the problem of transporting men across country in a war. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

[quote="Stinky123"]Any truth to thiis?
I don't think very much. The germans used what was available in their civilian auto industry for their military vehicles and the americans likewise used theirs. They were very different so comparison is difficult. The kubel may have been easier to field repair as engine removal was simple. The jeep had a bit more power for towing and was very rugged. Which was best? Hard to say- I would take the jeep. |

I was going to suggest that but I cannot stand bruce 'shouty' crompton - 'KOOBLE VAARGN'!
I have read (nine lives or small wonder?) that a kubel was worth two jeeps but don't know if that was true or not. maybe because it had a softer ride, doors to keep the mud off and four seats when indulging in a bit of frat... _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

The Japanese WW2 military had the Kurogane, their Jeep/ Kubelwagen type vehicle. Aircooled V twin, 4wd, only about 4700 produced, with between four and seven known to have survived to this day.

I see that the kurogane was developed as the next step up from a motorcycle and sidecar, a similar brief to the kubel. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut
