Can damaged TruLine cutters be repaired. If these can’t really be repaired can they be made from scratch?
I’d buy new ones if there is a source, but I kinda doubt they’re available anymore since Hank is long gone. Who knows, maybe somebody does make them or knows how?

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been hitting the web hoping to get lucky. So far nothing, but these cutters had to be an off the shelf item once upon a time. |

Thanks for the link. I hadn’t looked at that old thread for a while and now it’s got my answers. Figures. |

Check industrial tooling supplies, they are a standard boring bit, cannot remember the brand name, but not specific to line bore bars. _________________ 73 Type 181

Look around for a tool bit repair shop, similar to this one: https://www.jewellgroup.com/industrial-cutting-tools/tool-reconditioning/
It looks like what they call "cemented carbide", although in actuality it is a piece of carbide brazed to a steel holder. They can replace the broken carbide piece and sharpen the others. Ask them which carbide is best for the application, there are different grades for different materials. |
