Does any body have any hot tips on how to replace the bubble lenses in the Barndoor tailights as I want to get mine rechromed and put my NOS lenses in but are unsure on how to dismantle them the best way.
Secondly,I have a set of Freese reflectors and the glass is broken,has anyone ever replaced the glass in these as I would like to restore these as well as I can not seem to find any Freese reflectors anywhere....any ideas Barndoor guru's ??? |

| on the back of the bezel, it wraps around the lamp holder. you will need to bend that lip up(like a pie tin) enough to get the holder out of the bezel. you need to be very careful, use a small flat head screwdriver. when you reassemble just bend the lip back down, your seal will cover any distortion when you mount the lights back on the bus. i hope this helps....mike |

If I were you..................I'd go to a jeweler. These guys have those special tools that are super strong and unbreakalbe, and have the angles and curves to bend the lense out then back in. Same goes for the taillights. It's hard work but I have seen it done. Your better off holding out until the FRESE ones come along? But it's your call.

I've taken reflectors apart and replaced the glass. I went really slow with a small flat head screwdriver. To reassemble, I rolled the edge along a piece of wood.
They came out pretty good. You could tell they had been opened up if you really looked close but once they were mounted 99% of it was hidden.
