I'm looking for a good reliable place to purchase body shop materials, sandpapaer, chemicals,etc.. any ideas? I know I can get the stuff locally but it seems cheaper via mail order? _________________ "One man can make a difference...Jesus did." |

the one thing I have to say is this...
If you dont spray for a liveing.. or at least a couple of times in the past.. the Jobber locally is the biggest sorce of information that the people on the phone are just someone taking orders.... now you got a problem you go into your jobber and go.. hey WTF is this .. or what happend here.. or what is the flash time for wet on wet... jobbers are more then willing to help you... _________________ While we all hate POH ... Freight can eat up your savings really quick unless you are careful. I have gotten a couple of good buys on sandpaper off of eBay where I was willing to buy a couple of full boxes to have in stock. If you need it this weekend, local is the only way to go. |

I order a lot of tools an stuff from autobodytoolmart.com they carry a big stock of supplies as well, 3m products , an some economy primers an coatings, their prices are very competitive, below jobber wholesale for me, since I work for a body shop I get stuf local at shop cost! The only negative is the shipping, which is high! But they are very good to deal with ,they send catalogs like once a week, my first order the lady who processed my order sent me a tahnk youi card an coffee mug lol
check their prices plus shipping against what your jobbber will sell to you an see if there is any savings.

Thankyou all for the input. I'll check the catalog prices and shipping. I think I can do pretty good on lg lots of sandpaper and maybe some air tools if the shipping isnt too high. _________________ "One man can make a difference...Jesus did." |

I work for an auto parts place that also sells paint and supplys, and I still get a better price at autobodystore.net than i do where I work. |
