Mounting plate for door hinge is out the B-post after removal side door. How do I get it back in place

see picture, the plate where de doorscrews fit is out of postion. How do I get this back in place? (the lower part abouth 4 inch of the B-post need to be replaced so this plate drop down on the floor). The position of the door hinge is I geus 6 inch higher. I don't want to crack the hole B-post. I treid it whit a rope but that dind work.
