New Jersey VW plate surround wanted!

Ive been looking for 4 years and still havent found one.....plus its a little more difficult here in the UK....can anyone help?

What do you want the surround to say? I know a salesman at a big VW dealer in the town next to mine and I could get you one unless what you're looking for is an original one from the 70's or earlier.

Unfortunately probably black plastic but let me look around and see what I can find. If I can get something that says NJ and VW for free from this salesman I'll send them to you for free. But let me get back to you first.

or anything with new jersey on at the least....if the only one you can get is black plastic then that'll do great......its for my black 62 ragtop bug that was exported from nj to the uk in the eightys.....really appreciate it Smile

I'm going tonight to pick up two license plate frames from the dealer. It unfortunately won't say "NJ," but it's a bona fide VW dealer that most likely sold air-cooled VW's when they were new. If you still want them PM me with your address.

I also found this on the internet and I wonder if you might like these. The Devils ice hockey team wasn't around in the 60's but it could be an interesting thing to have on your VW:

hey, I'm 'oldskool' on lowlifevw...

Anyway, I just moved from NJ, I have a black plate frame for ya that says:
top: RT.33 HAmilton Square, NJ
bottom: Hamilton Mazda - VW

I also have a matching pair of NJ plates if you want them.

I'll trade ya for a pair of plates from over there.

hit me up on Lowlife- I usually don't come thru here often.

Your surrounds are in the mail. They don't say "NJ" but they do say "Linden VW Dodge" and "Driving to be the Best" so you might still want to use them. Linden VW has a web site so anybody can verify it is a NJ dealer.

Rob, sounds like you found what you were looking for, but if not I can get you some more plastic plate frames from a buddy of mine with a VW shop and possibly from a local dealer. Let me know if you want me to try and get some.

Chris... how's everything going out west for you? If you ever make it back to the North East i've got some bay windows that need some lowering... i'm living in Baltimore now, but if you ever have plans to come back out and visit let me know. Hope things are going good.
