I recently purchased this, a 64 beetle with 5 inch roof chop and a bunch of other things done....i have wanted a volksrod for a long time...and never got around to starting on one....when this came up a few months back i wasnt cashed up enough.....then i did some buying and selling and after taking a look at the car made an offer.... .. engine wise its a 1835, said to be out of a racing beetle but i have no other info, just a single carbi, was running twin before it went into this car, but original builder didnt want to have carbs sticking out....re doing the suspension, and a lot of stuff so i can get regoed here in Australia..hope to have sorted by mid next year
