so the 70 beetle i got now has a speedo with the fuel gauge in it and the last one i had had a mileage thing(trip mileage) ive looked around the classifieds for speedos older and younger than mine i cant seem to find one like my old one
can anyone tell me what year it came with or where to find one |

The trip odometers were a rarer option. I've seen one, but it was on an early 60's Beetle. You may have quite a search to find another.

Yep, trip odos turn a $30 used speedo into a $300-$500 speedo pretty dang quick! Good luck! Overhauls on a trip speedo are normally about $100 over a standard speedo too.  They're few and far between.

that makes me wish that i took out my old speedo and replaced it before i sold it
but hey ill keep looking i really liked the trip odometer |
