So yesterday I got a phone call from a customer who call to let me know of a 68 fasty that was coming up at the city auction that morning.

So in my never ending qwest to find as many t3s as i can, grab some petty cash, hook up the tow dolly to the ol c-20 pu [ddb hauler]
and off i go.

Yep-- there she was an original paint car...full of water....the 3 back windows had shrunk so much that water had been pouring into the car for some time.
The interior was torn up pretty good but complete, the motor appeared to be all there with a set of webers sitting in place of the FI.

So I wait for it to come up......finally it does...I start the bidding 65.00...bam it jumps to 100...ok so I go to 175.00....
the bidding gets out of control....it goes way past my limit, final bid- 900.00!

The crowd was in shock as most of the cars were selling for 200-300 range

Crazy...It turns out the guy seamed to be an auto broker , and already had someone to buy the car from him!

Any way just thought I would share...

I bet it would have went for much much more money if it would of had a DDB sticker on the window and a bling bling 1915 under the lid polished. What do you think? Laughing
