I have a delema. I like the thought of having the body 3" higher and thus allowing the whell's more travel without killing the fenders. but would a chenworth calls 11 cage still mount properly to the fire wall. also, would I get the same dessered effect if I just get lifted spindles in fornt and back

body lift isnt really practical unless you are in excess of 6' tall. the lift spindles and preloading the rear torsion bars will give you ground clearance and the extra fender room you so desire

COOL. THANKS FOR THE TIP. AS I READ UP ON THE LIFTS IT JUST SEEMED REALLY HARD TO PUT ONE IN AND DIDNT LOOK ALL THAT STABLE IN THE BACK WERE IT MOUNTS TO THE REAR TORRSTION ARMS. JUST ONE OTHER THING. WHAT ABOUT AN AJUSTABLE BEAM UP FRONT AND AJUSTABLE SPRING PLATES IN BACK. WILL THAT GIVE ME THE PRELOADING I NEED.( PARTICULALY IN BACK)

they will both work. i have a friend whos baja has been airborne on a few occasions with adjustable rear springplates, i they are pretty strong. however, i would do it the free way before buying new springplates. an adjustable beam is a good way to go unless you have balljoints and what alot of lift.

heck no on the ball joints. I went that rought with my last baja. it SUCKED. I am going with the irs in back and the link pin up front. in fact I have dessinged an adapter plate to hook a link pin beem to a ball joint front clip. I will post it when I get the plans on a cad file. so what would you recomend. an ajustible front beem or lifted spindels. and would i still be able to put a disc break kit in on lifted spindles.?[/quote]

if you get the right spindles, you can still use discs. if you are going with longer trailing arms, adjustable beam. if you are going with stock arms, get lift spindles. (in my opinion)

not promoting the use of a body lift, but I think the class 11 cages are usually 3" longer out of the box to work with the body lift.

They do come 3 inches longer, If no lift you have to cut 3 inches off of the main tubes.
