3rd place in the Bay Window class at Autofest 2004! Ok, there were only 5 entries, but still!
Chris Galvin won 1st place BTW.
Rest of the pics from the show and the carabus down there are here:

That is the worst thing that could have happened! Now you are way too deep into that high-top to give it up. I would equate this to getting your girlfriend pregnant. |

Well, ya know, those racing patches add almost as much HP as a TypeR sticker! If you paint your dash yellow or white, then you'd be unbeatable!
Thanks all! And regalasr is absolutely right. I'll NEVER be able to make myself give up Great White! _________________ No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow. |

Yeah, it really was!
My first carabus. My second VW show ever. Lots of good people and good fun. A seriously ticked off wife (for having fun without her, of course, but that's what she gets for not wanting to wake up at 4am. LoL!)
Since my bus was so trashed yesterday (cookie crumbs in the carseat, not real clean, etc...) this has given me incentive to start paying attention to the appearance. Crap! _________________ No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow. |

It starts like that and ends up with polishing the insides of the tail pipe...

I have two trophies received at shows, it is a wonderful thing when only two or 3 entries are in your class.... Yep, that's how I got mine. Didn't plan it on it working out that way..... _________________ Steve |

A couple of more Notre Dame stickers to adorn your rig and you may
have pulled off the upset!

<shudders>
Those were left behind by the DPO. I'm not bothering with the windshield one since the thing is delaminating anyway. The rear window is just waiting for me to get a new seal so I can pull it off the bus and strip it and tint it.

Being a big sports fan, and living in Northern IN, I had
to make mention of that sticker.
I can't wait to be roadworthy. One thing I'll do next fall
is show off my beauty while tailgating at a Notre Dame game.
Good fun - tailgating, that is. ND football is pretty much
abysmal.
Sounds like you all had a good weekend of festivities. _________________ '76 Deluxe Campmobile |
