I just got my first split window SC, I’ve been trying to fix a lot of PO work and do some upgrades well. The passenger vent window wouldn’t close properly so I ordered a replacement from WW. Well that won’t work either, two issues are new lever that locks it runs into the outside of the latch plate, like it’s mounted too high or, the old latch was “adjusted “
The other issue is when I try to install either old or new,the top pivot seems to be in the wrong place, very tight to the vent tab and when closed there’s a big gap at the top front ( vent window is at the wrong angle). It looks like someone re welded that top pivot in the wrong position. Anyways should I try fix it by cutting and re welding ( I don’t weld) or just chuck it and get a new frame?
$500 or so? Ouch!

Sorry but that frame is garbage and either needs to be completely re-worked or scrap it and buy a good used one. Since you don't weld the amount of time and money is going to make that decision easy and try to find a replacement.

Where are you located at?

Good luck!
