Entry will be free!! We'll have live music (a band who is still in the works) food will be there for you to buy so you don't have to leave the park. Only Aircooled, Mk1's, Mk2's are allowed to park inside of the park. All makes are WELCOMED. So that day is just a day to break the ICE. There will be camping but, that is separate from the event. You have to pay for your spot to the park. Then you got VOLKSTAG (The Peoples day) Show. I'll have a site up here shortly for you guys to pay to register to show and to have a swap booth. There will be a cover to get into this event. Another Live band will be there for this day too. The category's for this show will be very different than your regular show. The Ohio Valley Tribe of the Full Mon Bus Club would like to invite you out to our 8th Annual VW Buses 'n Boats camping and canoeing event this May 16-18, 2008 in Morrow, Ohio (near Cincinnati). We will be camping right on the banks of the Nationally Dedicated Scenic Little Miami River, and I do mean RIGHT on the banks. The campground is secluded and beautiful. The weekend will feature VW bus camping, a 6 mile canoe trip on the scenic Little Miami RIver (optional), a "Cincinnati Style" chili dinner on Saturday evening. Of course there will be live music picking and singing the hole weekend, world famous Full Moon Bus Club breakfast burritos, and fires, big fires, REALLY big fires (after all, we are the only VW bus club that brings at least 4 firemen to every campout!!!! Really, it's true!). Of course, the Buses n Boats Bash is family friendly (at least BEFORE 10:00 pm) so bring the kids and the dogs for a great weekend filled with Mid-western hospitality. 37 judged classes this year including People's Choice, Best of Show, Engine, Interior, Paint, Farthest Driven and Stock. Many raffle prizes along with a 1776 engine as well. A Hostess Twinkie eating contest will be held this year for entertaiment during lunchtime. Winner will receive a prize for his/her determination. Entry fee is $10 with registration time starts at 9am and ends at 12:30pm. Trophy presentation will be at 3pm. A $1 gate fee is paid directly to the park. This fee is mandated by the state and we do not have control over this. The Bay Area VW Club donated $1000 directly to the park last year and our goal is to double it this year. Must leave by Noon on Sunday.) Camping facilities include showers, modern restrooms, picnic areas, and shade trees. The show is FREE but donations are accepted. A local Boy Scout Troop runs the concession stand with grilled burgers, hot dogs, chips, soda, etc. so you don't even have to cook - all you have to do is show up and have a good time. This year there will also be CAMPING before and after the event. Camping will be similar to Transporters at the Point - Porta Potty's, no showers, Family environment. It is requested that you buy your lunch from the Scouts. For those that don't like to camp there are several hotels a few miles away in Seguin. The only special rule is "No pets." The following cars are accepted: Every VW constructed up to 1957, other special VW bodies and VW buses up to 1967. It’s not necessary to be a member of the Brezelfenstervereinigung in order to take part in this event. It’s also not necessary for your car to have really driven 100.000 km.
