poked at the cab a bit. found the body number. 46779. thats feb 1953 for anyone keeping track.

started the process of cleaning the cab itself up. just water and a rag in these pics.

Will you have a similar strategy as with your Beetle? Preservation rather than restoration?

i dont really know. dreaming about different options is pretty fun.

turn it into a cherrypicker? a snow plow? do something like the baja off-road barndoor truck? art car? zip ties and bondo? who knows.


whenever the perfectionist in me gets annoyed by my approach to the bug i tell myself i can always do a full factory restore to the truck. its a handy mental crutch.


im keeping my eye out for the parts it needs. i dont really need to decide anythening yet. there are a lot more parts to pick up before this gets built.
