Hi guys.

I am planning to go pick up my first barndoor, unfortunately it doesn’t have any wheels or hubs, so I am putting together some dollies to get it off the ground for transport.
The bus is not local to me so I am unable to take measurements off it. I have spent a few hours researching the measurements I need but I’m short of a couple details. Firstly i am looking for the width of the rear torsion housing from spring plate to spring plate? I believe it’s narrower than later bus?
Is the spring plate bolt pattern the same as later split bus? And what is the width of each chassis rail where the beam bolts in?

Cheers Mitch

Would allow +/- 2mm. There was a good amount of variance between chassis.

Yes Finster, that was the thread I used for most of the measurements I have. I couldn’t see the specs I needed.

Thanks Sgellis, that is a huge help. Very much appreciated.

from that thread I was thinking these two would help:-
dimension K is 746 (outside edge to outside edge) at front axle

dimension X is 1130 distance of cross tube flanges from each other (outside to outside)

That drawing is for a late split so only a few dimensions match up with a BD.
