I bought a month ago.
It’s just one guy and he doesn’t answer emails or PM’s. I imagine because he’s so busy and a.) doesn’t have the time or b.) he financially doesn’t have to answer our emails. Or both.
Just buy his stuff off eBay and it will arrive. Well packaged. There’s no real way to do it otherwise. He kind of has us over a barrel because it fits and is a great product. |

So the answer to the question posed in the title of the thread is :

Off the topic but interested if people know this...

1 man operation that the last 4 years $100k PLUS in gross sales.... like 200 products. Standard business value is the gross sales for the last 3 years |
Hmmm, I wonder if that is true.
I would think it should be valued on some multiple of PROFIT not sales.
If I have 2 businesses that both make $100K/year and one cost $50K to run and one cost $10K, which one is worth more? _________________ How to Post Photos

You're correct Everett.
Most mid-sized businesses are priced at three to six times EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization).
This is what most would consider a small business so 3x earnings seems reasonable. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

I did send in an order, anxiously awaiting as I know it will be quality.
In the respect for the business worth, it always applies that something is worth what (and only) the amount someone is wiling to pay. That said, it may be a short while or a longer while, but the final sale will reflect the time spent on the market.
I must say the quality is well known, the reputation stands, but aside from computer software, what prevents a previously established plastics business from doing the same? I can't offhand think of many vehicles other than a/c VW that would readily utilize these pieces, as upgrades or replacements, can you? It's a niche market, perhaps only exploitable to a certain point.
It's not good to see any of these businesses/services becoming less available. Looking at companies like Harley- D it seems that the future change is inevitable. He's worked hard and long to provide for us --Wishing Good Luck! _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness" |

We definitely need small businesses like his in this industry, so my comments weren't mean to dissuade someone from purchasing said business. I merely quoted what is considered standard valuation practices.
Hopefully he can find someone and strike a deal that works for both of them. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |
